Finally, after being thrifty for the past few weeks and selling mangoes and stuff, we were able to finally manage to go on in a trip to Vigan, which my mom really wants to spend her vacation. And we are too excited about it and packed our things for the trip a day before the actual travel.
So we decided to leave Bolinao Pangasinan on 5am so that it’ll not be that hot during the trip since it was summer when we go there. And for another reason, many says that it’ll be a long trip like, we are going to be on the road for 6 – 7 hours which is an hour or two longer than our trip from Quezon City to Bolinao.
But luckily enough we were just able to travel for only five hours, pretty much the same, and maybe because it was early and there isn’t that much vehicle travelling the road that much. But during the trip, one of the things that our family does is to talk about things, but what is the most memorable thing that we talked about is the translation of Tagalog to our native tongue which.
Since we came from Bolinao, our trip was a little different than those who came from the big cities. We have to pass Lingayen and Dagupan City, San Fernando La Union and many more cities and municipalities of La Union. Which was a great thing because we have time to know what kind of product each town had and what kind of good souvenir we can buy for our friends and ourselves.
Now on Vigan, we have a few prospects about the lodging we want to check out first before dropping our things and take a quick rest. There are many good lodgings at Vigan like, Gordion Hotel, Cordillera Inn, Vigan Heritage Mansion, Hotel Luna and much more. But what caught our eyes is an old House like that has a nostalgic feeling about it. So we decided to stay at Villa Angela.
Our First Day at Vigan, we arrived there at around 11am so it’s an hour before lunch, but we already know where are going since we asked some people there where the food is good, and we arrived at Hidden Garden which was really hidden from the city. A good name I could say. The food was ok, and I think they need to improve more.
We went to the plaza after we rested at our lodge on Villa Angela which I could say was a good place to stay. Their staffs were very helpful as they answered our inquiries with honesty as well as gave us a good service. On the plaza, we were waiting for the fountain show which was practically fun and good, we were just on the wrong side so we didn’t get the enjoyment level as high as we are expecting, but still, it was a good dancing fountain show. I think it lasted for about 30minutes and we enjoyed the show.
We walked around the city and we got to explored and appreciate Kalye Crissologo which was Vigan’s tourist destination. I thought it was a series of streets, but it was only one, but I appreciated how they are able to preserve it despite the modern changes around it.
After a little picture taking, we retired to our rooms.
