Musical Thursday: One Winged Angel

Christmas season is here and since there will be no class, I usually hang out in different music streaming sites like Soundcloud and Youtube for entertainment and to watch something nice when an anime update isn't getting fast. Just like today. So I decided to listen some old musics that I listened back then.

"One-Winged Angel"  is a musical theme from Final Fantasy VII, and it is notable for the final battle theme and for being the first theme in the series to feature vocal lyrics. It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu. - Final Fantasy Wiki-

If you are going to listen to the song, you can hear the music of range and revenge over the course of the song, and if ever you will read the lyrics of the song, you can actually feel that, Sephiroth don't want to disappaer and would like to cast out his anger towards the world.

Well, I guess most of you already know the story behind it, and I won't spoil too much, even though majoirty had played it or knew it already. To start of, I searched all over Youtube some covers or orchestra performance of the epic and grand music that Final Fantasy offered.

I seriously love what they did here. To add some electric version of some parts to add to the epic tone of the music, and just look how fun they are having. With the electric and the symphony, you would really just enjoy every second that they are playing. Try listening to the performance with a headset on set on a loud volume so that you could really feel your hair rising around your body.

Good job dude, All I can say that he did put a great deal of effort to just finish the music and still retain the epic-ness of the song. I was never bored while listening to the cover.

What do you think? There are a lot of covers that are worth mentioning, but I just have to go to my top three and here they are, I love the Piano and Violin cover on which I think would be better if they put it on the next level.

In the end, Final Fantasy VII and One Winged Angel will always be a trademark music for it's final boss battle. I get hooked up by it's dark and epic flow of each instrument of the track. If you want, you can also stream different music sites so that you could listen to different individual's cover for it.
