And the Long wait is over! It’s must have been a year
when I heard Children Record and got myself seeing that I am already
downloading every song that the Kagerou Project has to offer. I even read the
manga as well as the different fan made stories from the web. I also got the
hang of listening to the different version of it since then.
And when I read on the internet that there will be an
anime adaptation, I can’t help myself to be excited and wait for the release of
the anime in various streaming sites. And then, I was able to watch it!
Mekaku City Actors is one of the anime series that I can't wait to watch this spring, and on the top of my "Must Watch Spring 2014 Anime List" Since I already know some of the story, I just can't wait how it will go on in the anime adaptation.
The animation gives a feel of the Monogatari series, and
I liked it! It gave the story different views and how would the settings
change. So, Animation Goes home with a Four Stars out five. And I love how the colors
are being put together. It may not be your ideal animation for such a good
anime, but it really gives of a different angle to look on. But either way,
thanks to SHAFT
for the anime production.
Now, you won’t get lost on the story if you listened to
the music series first and then the manga. Tough, there are some points that
there are sudden appearances of characters that are not on the manga in the
anime, I still loved it. It hasn't really changed the story so far.
Of all the anime adaptation I watched so far, Mekaku City
Actors can be one of the best so far in my record. Why? The story is still
there. Character personality, check, as well as the feel of like it was still a
music video.
A tip of advice, since there are a lot of twists and
turns on the characters story, you should watch the music videos on NicoNico
or on YouTube and read the manga so that you can have the reference. So far, so
good and Mekaku City Actors will be on my number one list so far that the
season haven’t ended.
Overall, I give this anime adaptation a good 4 out of
five since it is just still the first episode. And a big recommendation to
watch it.
