For students, one of the greatest things that they can experience is to be able to finish the endeavor that they chose. Some are took four years course and some a little faster and some are a little longer courses that the country has to offer.

Graduation is one of the days that all of the students are hoping for, marching up in the stage to get their certificate and other stuff that they could receive. And in this time of the year, most college and universities hold their annual commencement exercises to show the world their fresh graduates, who despite the hardships of the students from their staffs to the teachers, were able to finish up the prescribed subjects with a passing to good grades.

And just like most of the graduating students, I’ll be taking up the stage this April 16, 2014 and will be wearing my black toga again in the PICC Plenary Hall. But that is already a finished event so I’ll just be giving you guys some piece of advice when you are going to have your graduation day.

1.) Sleep Early

The night before the event, make sure that you have a good night sleep so that you can have a fresh face in the morning and energy while on the program, because, the graduation will be long and a lot of time will be taken from you. So, you really need to get that sleep so you won’t get sleepy during the program and ruin your make up or make your face like you haven’t sleep for ages.

2.) Eat a hearty breakfast

Just like in an interview, one must have a complete energy build up and that includes taking up a good breakfast to jump start the day. Sometimes, the program can be so long and you won’t have a chance to eat a snack inside the perimeter since some convention centers don’t like the people bringing food and messing up the place with food crumbs and the sort and that’ll just add the cleaning expense. So eat up a heavy meal and make sure that you have digested a few minutes before going out.

3.) Be Early

When the program says that the assembly time is, for example, 7:30 AM, then you should be at the place at 7:30AM pronto, don’t take too much time in the bathroom fixing your make up, or on your hair. This could also be a time to take up pictures since almost all of you are fresh from the house.

If you know that it’ll going to have a medium to heavy traffic congestion on the road to the program, then take the road early and expect traffic in different places. That’ll make you prepared.

4.) Be Prepared

It’s important that you have prepared all the things that you are going to need such as the toga, the cap, the program, the ticket, your camera, as well as a tissue or hankie. Your clothes should also be prepared before you sleep. Remember, those who come prepared regret nothing.

5.)  Be Comfortable

Wear the clothes that make you comfortable, if you think that it’ll be too cold in the area, wear something that could protect you from cold, but not heavily dressed as to make you sweaty and irritable when there are a lot of people in the room.

Also, if you are having an upset stomach, be sure that you take up medicine that your doctors prescribed so that you won’t end up being in the toilet too much. Make sure that you are enjoying yourself. After all, this is your special day right?

So there you have it. Graduation Day is one of the happiest days of my life and I am sure that for everyone else too. Remember, be prepared, and don’t let something take that away from you just because you forgot something or haven’t prepared at all. Take your time preparing and be there fresh and early. After that, it’s time to celebrate with your family. I have experienced graduation twice and it never ceases to amaze me and make me happy. This marks the 10th day in my 50 Days of Happiness Challenge.
