Every Sunday, local radio stations always play something back from the 60’s until the 80’s on which I began to enjoy listening to every morning when I wake up. It has such a nice charm with it and you know, a good music once for seven days.

It all started when I heard mom played her radio downstairs and then while eating breakfast, we found ourselves enjoying and singing along with the songs that is being played throughout the morning. Sometimes I felt silly and sometimes I felt a little bored on the songs, but I really appreciate the music back then than now.

Music from before had such a wonderful meaning and it has a nice tune on it. Especially when hearing the classic rock and roll from Elvis Presley to the hip of Build Me up Buttercup by The Foundations from the 60's.

It sometimes is a good habit to listen to old songs as we can get a grip on what real music is like. Unlike for most of the songs today which can be a little too mainstream because of the usual themes likes sex, party and drugs. And the lyrics of today’s music are rather repetitive just like “Baby” of Justin Beiber and I still don’t get why almost all people liked it. And there are things popping out on the singer's profile that they are an Illuminati but that has nothing to do with me and I just don't want to be part of it.

I admit, I like most of the modern music that includes rap, and dub-steps because they are cool to listen with, but it can be a good chance to be somewhat mellow at jazzy at times. Try it.

Before, when I heard backtracks music, I was like, “It’s a music of the dead people!” or sometimes, “This is such a good lullaby music.” And you know what? I guess most of the teenagers today would agree to it. But, now that I opened my ears and really listen to the meaning of the song, I could now understand why these kinds of music are such a hit and also the singers.

Modern music is good and all, with all the parties going on here and there. But there will always be a spot to the music of the old time that can never be gone. And that is the meaning of each lyric, the deliver as well as the emotion behind it. There are a lot of good songs back then. Just try to open up your ears as well as your mind to be able to appreciate it. And you may find something that could make you smile in the morning every Sunday.
