But do you ever wonder why other of your friends deal with those disappointments better than anyone else you know? It's not because they don't care or even those things doesn't matter to them. Of course they felt disappointed and at one moment, they even cried. They were able to move on fast because they know that life just goes on. And of course, it's on their habit on dealing with disappointment.
So what can you do to deal with disappointment better? Here is what I found out:
1.) Let It Go!
Remember the song of Queen Elsa from Frozen? Let it go? Yeah, Let it all go. If you want to cry, then cry, if you want to shout, then shout! Let your emotions out. We all know how bad keeping negative emotions in. So cry! It will make you better for sure.
But remember to keep it all cool. Yes, crying and getting angry is good. But don't lash it out to someone. You can talk to a friend, but never blame anyone during that talk. That's bad for all we know it.
Let it go out naturally and after a while, you'll feel better after crying it all out.
2.) Moving On Means Accepting Reality
I always say this to my friends when they fee disappointed over one thing that they really like. They often believe that moving on is a process of forgetting something. For me, that won't just work.
Accept what happens to your daily life. May it be good and bad. Remember we all need to live in reality in some point of our life. And admit it. Reality is fair by being unfair to all. That's how the world work. Since we know that for a fact, then why not accept everything and move on? You will feel better if you change your perspective about moving on from forgetting to accepting.
3.) Learn From It
Remember what they always say that experience is the best teacher? Of course they are right. You failed, yes, but let's look at it at a better perspective. Learn from it. Ask yourself this questions after you moved on:
- What did I do wrong? How should I do things next time?
- What are the areas for Improvement? How should I improve those?
- What should I do next time to make it better?
- What is the best approach?
Remember, there are a lot of possibilities that can help you make it to the finish line. Don't just look at the negative side or just the positive side. Look at both side. Just like glass, in every angle, there are different images that you could see. Learn from it and make sure you do learn from your experience. Put it on your paper and read it at the end of the day. So tomorrow, you can do things to learn from it and be inspired.
4.) Smile
If you are having problem to make yourself positive, don't worry. You just need to make a fake smile. I always do the "fake it until you make it" thing and I always fake a smile when I feel down. Yeah, I feel down every now and then. Why? Being a newbie writer and of course, being new to the community on Wattpad, I have reviews about my story. Some are good and some are constructive, but sometimes, reading those make me down. But I just smile my day out, and it works! Yes, it does work so why don't you try it?

5.) Make Sure to Have Fun
So you finally moved on. Want to know what you could do differently? Have fun! Don't pressure yourself. Play from time to time. Kids play and let their imaginations run free right? Why don't you try that one? Like Playing to get Creative? We all know that by being creative we can be more productive and by that, we could increase our chance on getting what we want.
Dealing with disappointments can be hard at first. But the first step is always the hardest, but when the time came that we finally made our first step, all will follow and it'll go smoothly so you don't have to worry about that.
Remember, look at different angles of a glass and you'll see different things that could be bad or good, but a glass will always be beautiful if it is polished enough. Accept that downfall and learn smart from that experience. And for sure, you'll be able to get what you really wanted.
