Things I Love About "Shelter" by Porter Robinson & Madeon

This is a story that I always watch when I am procrastinating and wanted to figure out what will happen next. This music video is made by Porter Robinson and Madeon and from the animation studio, A-1 Pictures, and in partnership with Crunchyroll.

Shelter tells the story of Rin, a 17-year-old girl who lives her life inside of a futuristic simulation completely by herself in infinite, beautiful loneliness. Each day, Rin awakens in virtual reality and uses a tablet which controls the simulation to create a new, different, beautiful world for herself. Until one day, everything changes, and Rin comes to learn the true origins behind her life inside a simulation.

What I liked about this music is that the very composition is doped and well, the meaning? It's meaningful! You better listen to the music itself!

As expected with the animation of A-1 Pictures. They give out a quality animation with its projects. And the music video blended well with the beats and lyrics of the song. The transition of each scene on the animation was really good. Together with the beautiful scenario on each frame gives us this amazing feeling while watching the video.

The short intro of the song gives out something for us to really get hooked up with what will be happening with the next few scenes of the music video. And at first, you wouldn't really know that it was a music video because the animation executed was of those short story animated video that we knew before.

As for the song itself, it got my attention because of the beat and how it was executed. It was dope, and at the same time, it's kind of a catchy techno beat.

The story of the animation was superb. There were glimpses of what happened as Rin begins to remember what happened from the past before he found herself in her own lonely world. The animation gave us something, feels to be exact, and it got into our emotions. It was subtle at the beginning, but as the story unfolds, we started to know and understand what really happened. And as expected from the animation of A-1 Pictures, they gave us a detailed expression of each character. From the father who really loves her daughter, as well as the sadness that Rin gave us when she realized what really happened before he found out what happened to her father and the original home she was from.

What's most intriguing about the story was, it was an open ending, and they sparked up different theories on what might happen after that last scene. Like, did she died? Or even, was she saved?

What about you? Upon watching the music video, what are your thoughts about it? Tell me about it in the comment section below.
