~Depression is not a choice. It's a complex medical disorder~
I explored the internet to at least read different ways on how to fight depression and summed things up into five things that I believe will help battle depression and to start living life how it should be.
1.) Get a Hobby or Two
Making yourself busy with the thing that makes you happy will absolutely fight depression. It takes you out of the things that gives negative thoughts. You can do this with a community or someone that is close to you and make a conversation while doing some crafts. That’s because hobbies are a great source of eustress — the type of stress that makes you excited about life.
2.) Do Exercise
We all know this. Regular physical activity releases endorphin which boost your energy, elevate your mood, and improve your self-esteem. There are different types of exercises that you can actually do. A little gardening from time to time will help you lift up your mood. Or do some cleaning every now and then. and even a simple jog can help you with it. Much better if you do it outside every morning where you can take in the sun’s vitamin D and fend off depression with natural light.

3.) Yoga
Well, you don't need to be expert on this. Today, there are different yoga classes that helps different parts of our body. One type of yoga that I could recommend is the laughing yoga.
Check it out here.
4.) Keep your Distance on Negative People
When I say leave, you don't have to break your friendship, you just have to keep your distance to them. Talking to them in negative ways can actually stress you out more. They are a type of people who likely wants to talk about gossips in a negative way. Stay clear of them and don't let them get into your heads.
5.) Don't Forget to Love Yourself
One of the things that we always know but keeps on forgetting. It's not that hard to love yourself even if you are in a tight budget. No need for spas or even expensive shopping spree. Eating the food that you really love or do your own things that could relax you works. Love yourself and don't let the hate take over your mind. Appreciate all the small things and you can see the big picture at the end of the day.
It might be a hard battle on the part of those who have depression, but with a little help and support from their community, family and friends, for sure, we can do our part to make them feel loved and happy. Of course, we still need professional help in case that some of the tips that can be found on the internet won't work. Remember, all people are different and not all the things mentioned above will work to all. But at least we can all work together to fight depression.
