It's that time of the year again when seniors in college will be getting their diplomas and rushing into real life. Of course, the majority of adults felt that. The days when you are super excited to have those interview. The imaginary joy of your first job in a company of your dreams. Yes, it sounds so easy when you are still in college. But now, to tell you the truth, job hunt especially in the economy today and over population of the cities, it can be a challenge to find that open spot where you fit. What more, you have to go through a series of rejections and intimidating interviews from different companies.

Well, worry not. As a fellow who also experienced that, especially while studying. I know the struggle is real. So I also researched the internet to get tips on how to land a job and I'm going to share what I have found effective that HR managers are looking for from a fresh graduate after trying all those tips.

1.) Your Internship Program

Tell everything you have done during your internship days. Did you do well in that company? Did you get a good rating from your internship supervisor? If yes, then tell everything good you did in the company. If they found out that you are good at communication and shows the trait of being trainable fast from what you experienced from the program, then it will be a good point for you.

2.) Communication Skills

Upon working in an environment where information is vital, your communication skill is important, and you will be using it every hour. So most people are looking for people who cannot just talk, but can communicate well with other people with professionalism and confidence. Show this trait during the interview and for sure that it will make a good impression that you could also be the one to help their team thru your communication skill.

3.) Job Experience

The majority of job ads needs experience for at least a year. But since you're a fresh grad, how can you just get that experience needed? Have you invested correctly during college? You see, there are many part-time programs during the summer season and you could use them.

If just in case that you really don't have job experience, if you're affiliated and active in a school organization, then it could add up points. Depends on how you did well in that organization.

But if you were not able to get that right and just laze around or just had fun during summer, then the next thing could be your savior.

4.) Sub-Skills

Yup, that is right. What are the skills that you can use to help the company. For example, if you are applying for an office staff position, then you need to master most of Microsoft Applications. Especially Excel and Word. The majority of employers will ask you that. Wondering where you can learn them? That's right! Online courses. There is a multitude of online review or online schools that can teach you different skills. For example, I am in the field of Human Resources, who knows secretarial work, blogging and HTML coding. Isn't that cool? Not boasting but recruiters will ask you how you can further help the company grow. If you have a skill that you can use in a practical way in an office setting, then it is a plus point for you.

5.) Soft Skills

Yes, a skill that you can always use repeatedly and develop. In layman's term, this is a skill on how easily you can get people's confidence. Or in a plain term, their feelings. There are a lot of things that is included in this skill like adaptability, critical thinking as well as collaboration to name a few. The majority of people I know have this and they don't have a problem getting people's trust with just how they talk. This skill comes naturally for most of the extroverts but can also be used by introverts. In my opinion, this is what majority of recruiters are looking for. Sometimes, you just need to show how a people-person you are. because they put your grades back in your college just about third or fourth in their priority.

In any case that you are already on a job hunt, but still have no luck, don't lose hope! It's just a training for you on how to answer better. Don't get disappointed, but instead, be motivated.
